.Spotify has acquired SoundBetterNow in a move to increase its offerings to artists

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Spotify Daniel Ek speaks onstage during Spotify Investor Day at Spring Studios on March 15, 2018 in New York City.

“As we build out our tools for creators, we want to give them the resources they need to thrive. SoundBetter has the same vision,” said Spotify vp product: creatorin a statement. “We're excited that creators can generate income through SoundBetter, as well as benefit from its network of top professionals -- from instrumentalists to songwriters to producers -- as they perfect their tracks.”

SoundBetter will now exist under Spotify for Artists, which provides more than 400,000 musicians and their teams services including insights, profile management, promotion tools and educational content. While those offerings benefit artists once a song is recorded, this new acquisition will support them in the actual creation process.
