Katagum said this when she received in her office a delegation of foreign investors from China led by the Treasurer of Kano State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Umar Ibrahim. The minister according to a statement on Saturday from the Deputy Director, Press, Ahmed Danbazau, commended the investors for showing interest in developing the textile industry in Kano State.She noted that Kano is known to be a historic centre for the textile industry.

Katagum, according to the statement said that the Federal Government would give necessary support to the Kano State Government and the Chinese investors towards the development and growth of the textile industry in line with theEarlier, Ibrahim said the purpose of their visit was to seek collaboration with the ministry in the development of the textile industry in the country.
