China will increase imports from U.S. according to 'market principles': official

The United States has high quality supply in the fields of energy, manufactured goods, agricultural products, medical care and financial services, said Meng Wei, spokesperson for China’s National Development and Reform Commission , at a press conference on Sunday.

Market principles here are defined by Trump's team and enshrined in the trade agreement. China will have no say.

And therein lies the rub..lol This was not a trade deal but a way for China to avoid additional tariffs on its exports to the US and a dog & pony show for Trump that he could brand as a new trade deal . Nothing has substantively changed , bulk of initial tariffs remain in place
