Advocacy groups say Canadians have a right to receive paper bills — at no cost

OTTAWA — Canada’s telecom regulator won’t force mobile service providers to offer customers paper invoices, at least not yet.

Two advocacy groups wanted the CRTC to force Telus-owned Koodo Mobile to reverse its move to electronic billing for all but a select few of its customers. Koodo argued that, while the law says telecom companies cannot charge a fee for invoicing, they are not compelled to actually provide paper bills.

I think roughly 5 to 10 years back CRTC ORDERED TO PAY BACK CUSTOMERS 6 BILLION COLLECTED BY BELL AND ROGERS AS ACTIVATION FEE OF 6.00 EACH. LATER THAT MONEY WAS GIVEN TO 2 GIANTD AS R AND D FUNDS.. WHO EVER DIG THIS. NO

I’d be happy to get a bill AT ALL. Bell_Support hasn’t sent me a bill by any means for well over a year. I’ve spent countless hours on the phone with them to no avail. HORRIBLE service for which they charge an outrageous fee. bellsucks

The CRTC is a joke....they have no clout and no balls

Its unfortunate because theres many older people that like a reminder from the mail sont use email frequently
