Over £22 billion is set to be wiped from the UK's domestic tourism industry due to the coronavirus pandemic and stringent restrictions on public life, according to the acting chief executive officer

Speaking to the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport select committee, Patricia Yates also said conversations were ongoing about an additional bank holiday in October to extend the holiday season and aid the struggling tourism industry.

Should really be offset by the amount who are forced to take UK holidays instead of travelling abroad, theres nothing for it really, we have to have the quarantine on new arrivals to be certain of no reinfections. On the upside, we get the borders impermeable we become sanctuary.

This can easily be fixed by the government’s policy of pretending the pandemic is over
