The eggs are the first product to be sold as part of the supermarket chain's drive to be directly supplied by zero emission British farms by 2020.

Morrisons has launched a line of"carbon neutral eggs" from hens fed on insects reared on the company's own food waste.

The hens laying the eggs are fed a soya-free diet, including insects fed on food waste from Morrisons' bakery, fruit and vegetable sites, using an insect"mini farm" container from British start-up Better Origin, installed on site.

The UK as a whole produces less than 1.5% of the world’s carbon emissions. Production of eggs by normal methods produces emissions so negligible they’re barely worth recording. This is no more than gimmickry.

Shit in Shit out

So everything the Birds have eaten was 'Carbon Neutral '.......very expensive produce but Great Publicity.....

That's cool

Morrisons can eat their own eggs.

While still using one use plastics, only when the suits do they follow

Chickens fed from all the flies and maggots on the food waste in their dumpsters. Doesn't quite have the same ring as corn fed.

More bull 💩💩💩

I understand the brits are used to eat garbage but you're really pushing it here... By 2020 you say?

What was wrong with the old eggs?
