PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh said there is 'a real possibility' the Ryder Cup comes to North Texas, though the soonest it could happen is 2037.

prior to the grand opening of the PGA of America's new headquarters in Frisco on Monday. He sees the organization — and its new glitzy campus — serving as the center of golf for years to come. The PGA of America, a separate entity from the PGA Tour, is an organization for club professionals with more than 28,000 members.

Waugh said the PGA of America's new campus can serve an important role in golf's continued evolution. The 106,621-square-foot building features indoor and outdoor hitting bays, a chipping green, a bunker and several putting greens outfitted with full-swing. "For the first time ever golf is cool," Waugh said."That's because we've embraced it in all forms. When TopGolf first burst on the scene, a lot of traditional golf folks viewed it as competition. We viewed it as a partner. This is a gateway to the game, and so we'll embrace golf in every form."
