Gas companies will be “permanently destroying demand” if they don’t sell their product to customers in the longer term, Grattan Institute Energy Deputy Program Director Alison Reeve says.

Gas companies will be ‘destroying demand’ in the long term by not taking on new customers

“Not all but many gas users have an opportunity to use electricity and if they can’t get gas at reasonable prices … then they will switch,” Ms Reeve told Sky News Australia.“It’s really not in the gas companies’ interests to try and hold the domestic market to ransom.”

These companies are playing games so let us nationalise all of the gas companies and see what games they play. No compensation just take it off them.
