She has promoted DEI principles into business practices and operations within Wells Fargo to create a more inclusive culture and workplace environment. “We keep a diverse workforce at the forefront by embedding it in the culture of who we are and not treating it like a project,” Carr said.Improving our risk and controls continues to be the top priority for our company. From an opportunity standpoint, we are doing more to deliver new products and digital offerings to our customers. For example, we continue to launch new credit card products like one that can help customers pay their rent and earn rewards.
What are your biggest personal accomplishments over the past year advancing diversity, equity and inclusion within your community? As someone who came from poverty and was able to rise up through education funded through scholarships and tuition reimbursement programs, I spend much of my volunteer time committed to helping young people gain access to education through scholarships. In 2021, I joined the board of Scholarship America. During the past year, I have helped Scholarship America continue to diversify board recruitment and add impressive board members through my involvement in the governance committee.
