“As a medical team together with our physical trainer who’s also part of us, Kabelo, we realised that Kamo has played six matches in three weeks and he’s played 90 minutes in all those matches and then he traveled and arrived in camp the day before the actual match and when we assessed him and his condition he was really
fatigued; he couldn’t really give us 90 minutes. He couldn’t give us 45 minutes then we had to take that medical decision to say perhaps the best thing is to rest him for the game against Ghana so that he’s fresher for the game against Sudan. So it was purely a medical decision it had nothing to do with the technical team.”
