Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi has gone to Riverlea High School in Johannesburg after three teachers were killed in a car crash.Provincial Education Spokesperson Steve Mabona says learners and other teachers at the school will be provided with counselling.
“We received news that about three of our educators were involved in a car accident and they died on the scene. So, the MEC for Education in Gauteng is going to the school just to understand what might have transpired. We don’t have more details but we are rushing to the school just to be briefed on what has transpired and what is the latest and we have already unleashed our psycho social unit so we can provide necessary counselling.
