Just FYI the leaders only make a measly wage compared to what the were making before leading the church and live modest lifestyles. None of the other clergy is paid and is volunteer. No plates passed in churches. Members actually like that the church has wisely invested funds.

Why can’t churches of all denominations take on the homeless crisis. They have all the resources - real estate, volunteers, money to buy buy professional services. They could co-fund social work and mental health degrees while providing real world experience.
Their 'elders' live like kings off of it without any accountability or scrutiny other than what they provide to themselves.
Good thing we don't tax such extraordinary wealth. Jesus would be so proud of the Mormon Church's investment acumen.
