I was on the way to Italy at the end of February. I had a layover flight and when I got to Germany, we got the news about the lockdown and that we should go back to Tokyo, because once we got into Milan we might not be able to leave. Knowing that [the coronavirus] was already happening in Japan, it just really hit me that moment.
I think that we’re going to shift our sales to September during women’s week. For us, right now, it’s about survival as a company, and making sure that we stabilize the next few months. We were already working on the next collection, but our energy right now is about providing things for the domestic market so that we can get the relationship going with our local customers.
