Abbott Laboratories instructed health care providers last week not to use solutions known as"viral transport media" for samples tested on its ID NOW device, which runs one test at a time and can detect positive coronavirus cases in as little as five minutes and spit out negative results in 13 minutes. The company says customers should instead only place swabs with patient samples directly in the device.
"The guidance from Abbott Laboratories comes more than two weeks after President Donald Trump said in a Rose Garden news conference that the company's rapid coronavirus test would be"a whole new ballgame" in expanding testing for the disease. Many hospitals, clinics and CVS testing sites across the country have been able to use the rapid tests from Abbott.
Lol so there are people going around with COVID who think they're fine. I seriously read a forum post on Wizards Unite that said someone's daughter had all the symptoms and came up negative for COVID, flu, strep, etc, but glad that her daughter didn't have COVID. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Ok so dont use that solution?
ふ〜ん。
Why do I need to know this?
It has to be handled by Professionals
THE GOVERNMENT ARE REALLY TRYING THEIR POSSIBLE BEST!!!
Testing is not all that great at the moment maybe in a few years we'll finally be able to figure out the answers to combat this virus.
This nightmare is never going to end
A lot of things do different things, when you don't use them properly 🤦♂️ ThesePeopleAreSick lulz kek
Now who’s surprised by that?
Impeccable, flawless, tests... best in the world 🙄🤥
Rapid doesn’t really matter if the results are wrong. 🤷♂️
Then don’t use that solution duh.
Great... Why do I keep hearing about brand name testing companies? The branding shouldn't matter.. roche, abott, etc... It's a pandemic. Focus on what matters.
