NSW Water Minister Melinda Pavey says the commencement of work on three major dam projects “could not be more timely” given the need to create jobs and get the economy moving.

The NSW government has introduced new legislation around requirements for water ownership and trades as works on three major dam projects are set to begin across the state.

Ms Pavey said, “works will officially start on the Dungowan Dam expansion project in Tamworth and the Wyangala dam wall raising scheme by October”. “These projects will be so good for jobs in Tamworth and in the region surrounding the Wyangala dam,” she said. “We are talking about probably the biggest investment in water structure since World War Two”.

It will be interesting to see how the NSW Government can produce more water in a country getting hotter and drier.

And than watch them sell it to multinationals

Good. Needs to be owned by the people and not financified. Used to create a diverse and productive economy. No oligopolies and mercantile class concentrating profits and socialising the losses to Australians. We need real leaders
