The conservative news network's leadership said in a message to employees on Wednesday morning that they "received a complaint about Ed Henry from a former employee's attorney involving willful sexual misconduct in the workplace years ago." Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott and president and executive editor Jay Wallace wrote in the message that they hired a law firm to conduct an independent investigation into the allegations against Henry and temporarily suspended the correspondent. They terminated Henry as a result of the investigation's findings. Henry, 48, joined Fox News in 2011 as the network's chief White House correspondent following several years covering politics and the White House at CNN.
