This week I have finally returned to writing about eating in restaurants, and if there’s one thing the experience confirmed for me it is that the hospitality industry needs our kindness. As I explain in today’s column, I’ve decided that, for the foreseeable future, that there will be no negative reviews. If I come across a duff place, I’ll simply chalk it up to experience and move on to somewhere better.
I work in a pub, until it's mandatory for staff to wear masks I'll not be booking a meal. I wear a mask btw so that I'm not breathing on customers when I serve them. My choice, it's not mandatory -it should be if you want customers to feel comfortable, safe & support the business
I am chef/owner of a restaurant. I agree that if people want to have a variety of restaurants to choose from when this is over, be kind and do what you can to keep us alive...but NO to dine-in at present. It should only be take-out. Dine-in endangers workers and customers.
I wish I could afford to go to a restaurant I don't even buy a cuppa in a cafe.
Totally agree; we all need to be kind and keen to support this industry as best we can.

Substantial deposits mandatory on credit cards.
If one more fucking person / corporation tells me to be kind I'm going on a mugging spree and targeting only the disabled and or extremely vulnerable
