Teresa Kok says Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim has not shown evidence that Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali brought in RM82 billion worth of investments from Turkey.
Kok, the former primary industries minister, said it was impossible for a minister to attract such a huge investment from a short trip.Kok pointed out that the total export revenue from commodities under Khairuddin’s ministry in 2019 was RM114.2 billion, of which palm oil and rubber contributed RM59 billion and RM28.1 billion, respectively.
“If Azeez can prove with evidence that Khairuddin has indeed brought in RM82 billion during his private trip to Turkey or during his five months tenure as a Cabinet minister, I will consider this a major feat, which even Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin could not have conceivably pulled off. Khairuddin has drawn flak during the past week for not observing the mandatory 14-day quarantine after returning from a visit to Turkey last month.
