U.S. crude, fuel stocks drop in most recent week: API

Crude inventories fell by 5.4 million barrels in the week to Oct. 9 to about 495.4 million barrels, compared with analysts’ expectations in a Reuters poll for a draw of 2.8 million barrels.Refinery crude runs fell by 601,000 barrels per day, API data showed.

Gasoline stocks fell by 1.5 million barrels, compared with analysts’ expectations in a Reuters poll for a draw of 1.6 million barrels.
