When Anand Giridharadas was invited to speak at the National Association of Corporate Directors' annual summit, the writer did not hold back.

But as the event continued, another perspective emerged in the swiftly moving chat, according to Lundberg.

However, Harrell said, the majority of the people talking in the chat were defensive or shocked instead of taking the opportunity to listen to a different perspective. These attendees' refusal to engage disappointed Harrell.
