CRSM said as Malaysia has been placed under the second movement control order, sellers who pre-ordered Chinese New Year goods are now facing the challenge to sell these goods after the number of customers in the streets dropped drastically.
CRSM national chief Datuk Natalie Lim said the campaign’s main goal is to assist those affected by the pandemic, regardless whether they are the vulnerable members of society or business owners. “With the abundance of shopping websites nowadays, it has never been easier for sellers who wish to change to this new platform. GoCare will also promote this trend by creating a similar platform, so that customers may find it convenient to purchase their goods while also helping sellers promote their products, ” she said.
She said this would enable consumers to purchase festive goods such as clothing, Mandarin oranges, waxed meat , and decorations such as lanterns etc. “Furthermore, many housewives and youths who make cakes and cookies for extra income can now take advantage of this platform to promote their goods.
