Covid-19: Cruise industry 'in a very different place' to a year agoThe cruise industry is now "in a very different place" than it was a year ago, Brian Salerno, senior vice-president of Maritime Policy, Cruise Lines International Association has said.
It is a year since passengers on the cruise ship Diamond Princess were quarantined following an outbreak of coronavirus."What we have discovered is, through working with experts and health officials, epidemiologists, what it actually takes to protect ourselves, protect our passengers, protect our crew and protect our destinations when we operate."
I thougbt that was the idea.
Trouble is who wants to go on a cruise where you can get off to have the freedom to explore the various countries you visit?
I dint see how they’re in a different place! They haven’t been able to sail! Yet TUI Germany have been docking in the canaries!
To be pedantic, “different to” demonstrates illiteracy. It should be “different from”, of course. To illustrate, one would never say “similar from” - or would you?
I owe you an apology to ever doubt your sincerity and professionalism. It’s was just like a dream to me when I received my first payment. After my second payment it became a reality now after several payments it has become a way of life. SamuelEddy_
Not really. They're still docked up in Southampton spewing pollution over the city.
Should put red list travellers on the cruise ships to be served by the morons who breaks the UK COVID rules at home. Put all the risk in one boat out at sea👍😊
Appreciation they say is an application for more, if i fail to acknowledge you Fxlisama001 it will show how ungrateful i am. i can't be less grateful to a woman God has used in blessing me and my family in general Fxlisama001 she is 100% legitimate and reliable.
Well there’s cruising and there’s cruising 😂
No shit, same as everyone else
2022 and 2023 will be sold out by the end of the year
Cruise ships are amongst the biggest polluters in the world. Now's the perfect time to phase them out.
'Virtual' cruise the way
Why is this news
It’s a total catastrophe for the cruise workers, the majority of whom are from poor countries and rely on the industry for their livelihoods.
No shit. Every industry is in a different place to a year ago
bbc doesn't do news, just lobbying.
Are cruises always in different places?
