All but one of Sydney’s dams were expected to spill this weekend as heavy rain in saturated catchments lifted levels above full capacity, WaterNSW said.
Men struggle to lift a fallen fence that surrounds the Powerhouse Museum site as the Parramatta River overflows.Warragamba is the one to watch because it accounts for about 80 per cent of Sydney’s storage and any overflow goes into the swollen Hawkesbury-Nepean River. It’s currently sitting at about 99.2 per cent capacity.
Warragamba released water in January when it neared full capacity and also last August. This time, though, the spill may be a lot larger and more prolonged because it is maxing out before potentially more than 100mm of additional rain lands in the sodden catchments. If only they had mandated masks, like Vic, NSW would escape the fury of the gods!!
Never going to be full again
Are you still shredding documents relating to the ICAC investigation? Or have you decided to finally stop?
Hey Gladys, how's the site of The Parramatta Powerhouse museum going? Still there or under water?
Does she have anything to say to justify her determination to destroy the entire Powerhouse Museum collection with her arrogant refusal to acknowledge the site is currently under water AGAIN?
