“Voltes V: Legacy,” GMA 7’s live action adaptation of the 1970s hit anime “Voltes V,” has received a thumbs up from the owner of the original series’ franchise, Toei Company. “Voltes V: Legacy” director Mark Reyes was ecstatic over receiving kind words from the series’ mother company as he showed a letter from Toei on his Instagram page yesterday, Dec. 31.“Now I can share this. One of the best Christmas gifts I received was this kind letter of support from no less than ‘Voltes V’s’ home base in Japan, Toei Company,” he said.
Toei expressed excitement over the production of the live adaptation in the Philippines as it commended the show’s producers for their work amid the COVID-19 pandemic.“Production may be tough under this [COVID-19] situation, but this time we wanted to inform you that we were so excited to see the promo-reel of the show. We could feel your respect to the original series [and] we also thank you for your effort, enthusiasm and hard work under this [COVID-19] situation,” Toei stated.
Matt Lozano will steal the show. 🙋🏻♂️ I could already see the heart in his performance.
