The combination of low customer traffic and the early lockdowns has prompted Wesfarmers to pencil in a 10 per cent drop in sales from discount department store brands Kmart and Target combined for the six months to December 2021.
While Officeworks, Target and Kmart have been hit, Wesfarmers provided limited clarity around the earnings from its flagship Bunnings - saying only that in the half to December its performance was pleasing.

It's almost as if science denying conservatives lack any idea on how to run a state, country or economy. They are too busy watching 1980's reruns.
Last year this period when Covid cases in the US around 200k, they were worried about the hospitalization's rate, and the Gov imposed all sorts of restrictions. This year we've reached 800k+ cases each day, and the restrictions are much less severe than last year, so don't panic!
Might not be just the virus. The requirements for masks and check-ins are a major deterrent.
