films are ruining the industry. He is among the many actors and directors that have lambasted the state of the movie business because these types of movies exist.
🤣 What industry? The action garbage industry?
This from a schlock director? Its all big expensive schlock, but still schlock.
Maybe if he stopped making the same disaster movie over and over, he might work on a project that people will actually come out and see.
Universal Soldier pretty much like a Superhero film re-animating dead Vietnam soldiers by turning them into some form of Terminators. The original trailer for the film uses T2: Judgement Day score where it didn't have an original trailer film score rolandemmerich.
In the early 2000s Wolfgang Peterson was to direct Batman V Superman but plans didn't go through and he directed Troy film. Troy has loose similarities to Batman V. Superman by grounding the story, stripping away superpowers making it a non-comicbook storyline rolandemmerich.
Every action movie can be considered a comicbook movie. What I'm saying is, take away comic book story, take away the super powers, ground the characters and shoot, you have a non Comicbook movie that was inspired by a Comicbook and it works perfectly. rolandemmerich
Pot. Kettle. Black.
I think it’s true. But more likely it’s a huge risk for Disney putting all its eggs into two baskets. Once we get tired of Star Wars and marvel that’s it… Disney goes under. Taking down all its subsidiaries
he's wrong
Make better movies then
The same Roland Emmerich who… *checks notes* just released a film about the Moon falling into the Earth?
LOL
There is a demand for it. Moneytalks
So is his movies he is riding the same boat as Superhero genre or star wars films
No other country's film industry puts as much $ into remakes, sequels, prequels or adaptations from books, comics & TV Shows. They even remake original foreign films for US audiences. The only thing ruining the industry are the studios who are now run by accountants, not artists!
A bit of jealousy always makes the cut for news. Directors, from Martin Scorsese to Roland Emmerich, cannot deal with what fans want and that’s the movies that Disney (who owns Marvel and Star Wars) & othera like DC films make…more specifically they are jealous about is the ROI.
dude makes popcorn disaster flicks.
He's only known for disaster films
Has the man ever seen any of his own movies?
the industry is ruining the industry. the industry has *ruined, full stop, the industry.
Prepare for your movie to get shat on over an opinion, Emmerich.
Están arruinando? 🙄 noto en su comentario al respecto que él no puede lidiar con el listón demasiado alto, tendrás que esforzarse para demostrar lo que realmente él considera no arruinar nada.
Lo dice por el éxito de las series... 🙄
And this is why his movie bombed.
The guy that only makes disaster movies has a issue with the same type of film being made over and over again. WHAT.
Is he for real? 🤣
It’s didn’t ruined the industry it’s just you didn’t make A great movie stop blaming others 🙄🤢
Because his independent author stories, art-house productions are under threat of going unnoticed?
Anyway
Worry about that 40% on rotten tomatoes instead
As much as I might not be a fan of either.. this guy does not really have to much room to speak on the subject.
Everybody has their opinion, but in the end people vote with their pocketbook.
Hahahahaha…the nerve.
What industry would that be exactly?
He’s not wrong. They’ve shut out the mid-budget movies
Uh, he’s made one good movie. It’s like a backup punter criticizing Pro Bowl players.
Says the dude who just put out a god awful movie that just combined the plots of 6 other terrible movies.
No, you ruined your own career by making the same movie with bloated budgets that no much people care anymore for more than 2 decades . And by making Godlizard.
I can’t hear Moonfalls ratings n boxoffice numbers plz? MF
If only somebody would remake 'Godzilla.'
He’s right, but they wouldn’t make them if people didn’t show up. 🤷🏻♂️🤔
