Non-profit organisation Health Justice Initiative says it has launched legal proceedings for the disclosure of all COVID-19 vaccine contracts entered into and any applicable agreements with relevant companies and entities . This follows an access to information request to the National Department of Health in July last year, which was refused.
The organisation has expressed concern that the public does not know the content of agreements entered into by the government, to procure vaccines throughout the pandemic. South Africa has administered at least 30-point-5 million vaccines thus far. HJI spokesperson Fatima Hassan says South Africa is a democratic country, therefore information should be available.
“Pricing is one of the issues that we do not know enough about, given that we’ve already allocated about R10-billion in vaccines, we’d like to know how much we’ve paid for vaccines. Issues related to indemnification, export restrictions that undermine the sovereignty of a domestic government. There’s a lot of secrecy, and very little transparency on the part of pharmaceutical companies.
Words alone won’t express how thankful I’m recommending you all to bettycostafx. investing with her has been a great opportunity for me and my family, I'm not persuading anyone to work with Mrs bettycostafx.. I just wanted interested investors to make the right choice with her.
