The case relates to Dlamini’s testimony at an inquiry that the Constitutional Court had established into her role in the social grant crisis in 2017.
The inquiry headed by Judge Bernard Ngoepe investigated whether Dlamini should be held personally liable for the costs of the South African Social Security Agency debacle. The judge found that Dlamini had been evasive when questions were put to her during the inquiry. She was found guilty last month. Magistrate Khumalo says, “The accused is accordingly sentenced to a fine of R200 000 or four years imprisonment. Half of the sentence is suspended for a period of five years on the condition that the accused is not convicted of the offence of perjury and Section 38 of the Superior Courts Act of 2013.”
Could have been a good time 4 rehab
Im willing to be an errand boy, a gardener or any form of odd job just to feed my children🙏🏾. They've been going to school and back on an empty stomach and that cripples me as a father. I humbly ask for any tinned food or grocer you don't need🙏
Some animals are more equal than others 🤔
Even her fine is suspended to half
Prison is for poor young people in our country. Sibongile Mani was never given an option, so maybe lying under oath is not much of an offense according to the law in this country
Why give her options?🤔 what's so special about her . South Africa is really a joke .
What a joke. The woman is worth multi millions
Same should have applied to the nesfas girl
Why was that nesfas girl not given a fine also
ANC step aside must come into play, watching with open eyes👀
