Seek-backed corporate training marketplace Go1 is making a more concerted push into Europe by acquiring Switzerland-based Coorpacademy.
Go1 co-founder and CEO Andrew Barnes will be running a 500-person company with the acquisition of Coorpacademy. While the deal terms of the Coorpacademy deal were not made public, it is understood to be Go1’s largest acquisition to date.said he started talking to the Coorpacademy co-founders in December and discovered they were a logical pairing.
Coorpacademy is older than seven-year-old Go1, having been founded in 2013 by Frederick Benichou, Jean-Marc Tassetto and Arnauld Mitre, but the business is substantially smaller than its Aussie acquirer. “Not only is this a great opportunity for our two companies to come together to make corporate education accessible to millions of learners, but it adds value for existing customers that are prioritising and expanding their learning and development resources.” Coorpacademy CEO Mr Tassetto said.
