Business groups from the country’s two biggest states are calling on governments to ease isolation rules for close contacts to address critical staff shortages.

Business NSW and the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry want changes to the current rules in place which force household close contacts to stay home for seven days, irrespective of test result.

Makes sense for essential services food health etc. But how is travel an essential service? If they haven't got the staff to run the airport start cancelling flights to lighten the load.
