The HITECH Construction Company Limited, on Tuesday, issued a memo to all its staff in Lagos State, directing that all its sites in the state should be closed over fears that “there may be civil disturbance by the Okada riders” following the Lagos State government’s ban on commercial motorcycles in six local government areas of the state.
The ban on commercial motorcycles in the affected local government areas will take effect from Wednesday, June 1. The memo, signed by the company’s Head, Human Resources and Administration, Awele Ofuasia, directed project managers and the chief security officer to “ensure the safety and security of company’s equipment and materials” across the state.
The memo, titled, ‘Safety Precaution’, partly read: “Tomorrow, 1st of June, 2022, will be the effective date for the Lagos State ban on the operations of Okada riders in Lagos State .“In light of the above, the Management has decided that all sites in Lagos State should be closed tomorrow for the safety of all staff and Company’s properties.
you cannot fight the government therefore stay clear.
Only for tomorrow? What about next tomorrow or next week...So suspend operations June 1, Then get killed June 2 when operations resume? Don't gerrit
There should no be atom of biasness in this barn. Sp of police should not hustle with bike too in the evening ooo And those police men should not work under camouflage
I enter Okada mostly, if govt decide to ban the movement, I don't have any problem with that. Govt know the reason, they should go ahead, I fully support the govt. Anyone who is not please with that can go to somewhere else, even their state of origin. Why protest, na by force?
Everywhere good ☹️☹️
