Indigenous tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the tourism industry and the coast of Labrador is no exception.The Tourism Division has launched a new 45-minute online course for community members interested in anNunatsiavut Tourism Director Jillian Larkham says visitors are very interested in visiting the coast of Labrador and the Torngat Mountains Provincial Park. She says they’re looking for authentic experiences.
Right now most of their guests have been coming in from across Canada due in part to changing travel patterns caused by COVID. She says visitors are interested in learning more about coastal communities, local culture and history.
