The Sudbury college announced the new degree program on Sept. 14, saying the move makes it the first college in Northern Ontario to offer a bachelor of business administration degree . It is the second degree program Cambrian offers, with the first being the bachelor of science in nursing degree that was launched this month.
BBA students at Cambrian will be able to major in one of three specializations — accounting, data analytics or digital marketing — or opt for a general business administration degree. The college said the accounting stream is recognized by Chartered Professional Accountants Ontario, making it a clear path into the accounting profession.
