Daily Poll: Should oil and gas companies share climate change costs? The municipality of Whistler, B.C., is asking the oil and gas industry to chip in for budget costs related to climate change.Whistler’s Mayor Jack Crompton says residents are paying 100 er ce… Absolutely. They are totally responsible for my use of gas to heat my home in the winter. Their evil convenience & efficiency forced me to stop using lumps of coal or chopped down trees or animal dung. Seriously Vancouver Sun? Ironic since their costumer base use fossil fuels to get to the resort. Why bother? They would just pass the extra costs onto the consumer. It’s a commodity that we need so we have to pay.

B.C. cities join global movement asking oil companies for climate change costsThe most recent was West Vancouver, which voted last week. The Alt-Left radicals who hold Civic office only want more money..from anyone, now our Energy sector is thier Target. Repugnant Why not just tax the people directly....that's what the end result will be anyway....cost passed on to the consumer. The oil companies supplied the product They didn’t force you to use it They warm your home and get products to your door, also making people mobile. Simplistic thinking, to complicated problems. Every one must take charge and be responsible for their choices

Alberta chips away at oil curtailment to placate unhappy oil companiesThe cuts from Alberta and how they are being administered has grown increasingly contentious since taking effect in January A band aid is still a band aid, doesn’t really fix anything, but helps temporarily. Screw the unhappy oil companies. They’re the ones who have been screwing things up for the rest of us in the oil business. cdnpoli A STUPID move that only hurt more Albertans.
