Tanya McCray, 56, was leaving the “crew room” on the public mezzanine when she saw Coste – a senior equity analyst at Tocqueville Asset Management – trying to get inside, an MTA spokesman said.
McCray, a 21-year veteran of the MTA and train operator, fought back and began striking Coste with her lunch bag, which had a thermos inside, the spokesman said. After another transit worker came to her aid, the banker ran away down the train platform. Jean-Francois Coste was arrested and charged with assaulting a transit employee, harassment and menacing.McCray, who suffered bruises and was taken to a local hospital, said she hopes her attacker is punished.
The Transit Workers Union plans to make a show of force at Coste’s court hearing, the spokesman said.
There R reports he was put on leave by his employer. Jean-Francois Coste' needs to be fired; PERIOD. Employer is taking a risk having this dude in their offices; what have his coworkers had to deal with? If he applies for other jobs his name (& ACTIONS) R on the internet forever.
