Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts have been restored. Meta announced it would restore the former president’s accounts last month, two years after he was suspended for inciting further violence in the middle of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
The media company said it’d be adding “new guardrails” to deter Trump from making “repeat offenses.” Meta said if he violates content rules again, he will be suspended for “between one month to two years,” depending on the offense. The move comes three months after Trump regained access to his Twitter account—although he’s stayed put on his own Truth Social for the time being.
Meta, haven’t you done enough damage & what cost to the country?Conservative whining shouldn’t be the reason to allow them to violate rules. Their accounts were suspended more frequently b/c they were the most consistently egregious violators, liars, spreaders of disinfo.
Meta you let that man, his MAGA adherents & others publish deadly disinformation about COVID, and about elections targeting Dems, particularly micro targeting communities of color, especially black communities.
Why? Meta You allowed DJT & other politicians unbridled access to publish lies, disinfo, fraudulently solicit funds to dupe their supporters, to literally organize & execute plots to overturn legitimate US elections, & a violent insurrection & attempted coup against the US govt.
