Agriculture and food security minister Mohamad Sabu says Malaysia produces enough eggs to meet local consumption.
Mohamad said the company had been given a special permit to import eggs from India for six months beginning last December based on its ability to deliver in a short period of time. He was responding to a question from Wan Saiful Wan Jan on which companies had approved permits to import eggs from India and the duration of the permits.“Each consignment must undergo a Hold Test Release test upon arrival to ensure it is free of pathogenic avian influenza , Newcastle disease and salmonella,” he said.
Would you consider this a culture that the Government of the day seems to endorse monopoly?
Syarikat jual / beli telur ayam .
Knn eat also want untung
which company is that? who owns the company? what was the selection & award criteria? why awarded to one company only? when will the problem on labour shortage be resolved?
Kehkehkeh
This is textbook monopoly, enabled by the same government that practised nepotism and cronyism in 2023
There must be a state somewhere with enough land to plant 'jagung', which is the most essential ingredient for feeding of chickens. Or alternatively one of our large plantation companies to invest in nearby Kalimantan?
No wonder PH no Telur as their Telur being taken away..
What does our Telur Minister from MCA say? 😆 the only issue he cares about. Very fishy.
