Keenan swung one deal last week, trading forward Marshall Powless — who was a first-round draft pick in 2020 — to the Albany FireWolves for a second-round pick in the 2025 entry draft.
“We got a guy who helps our offence and helps our power play, which has really struggled the last four games,” Keenan said. “He’s a tremendous shooter, and when you look at his career … he’s a little older now, but he can still shoot the stink out of the ball. A lot of skill, and a good team guy. We like what we got for a pretty minimal price.”
Keenan says the team’s veteran core, consisting largely of players who won NLL championships with the franchise in 2015, 2016 and 2018, have to play better than they are right now.
