SANTA CLARA — A tech company has struck a deal to shift its headquarters to Santa Clara in an expansion of its local offices, executives said Tuesday.
The rental deal represents an expansion for Silergy, an up-and-coming semiconductor and analog devices firm that has been based in Sunnyvale and is now is moving its headquarters to Santa Clara. The company’s expansion offers a notable counterpoint to what has become a dreary drumbeat of widening tech layoffs in the Bay Area and nationwide.
The new headquarters will feature offices and lab spaces to accommodate Silergy’s research, engineering and administrative operations, along with the headquarters. Silergy also has an office in Orange County.
