The world’s first “smart gun” hit the market Thursday, complete with a life-saving fingerprint unlocking system that prevents “unauthorized” people such as kids and criminals from firing it.

The $1,499 gun unlocks in less than a second, using either a fingerprint or facial recognition sensor, then quickly locks again when it’s no longer in use.

It’s gonna require updates and have the potential for third party companies to lock if from use huh?

Have you ever used a fingerprint reader that you would trust with your life? How reliable does it work to unlock your cellphone? When I need to defend my life, there doesn't exist a fingerprint reader that can register 100% accuracy, in fractions of a second, with 0% failure
