The Lilianton Residents’ Enclosure Committee’s community market at the New Apostolic Church on May 27 was a huge success.
The sources of income included stand fees, raffle tickets and an auction of luxury holiday packages, sports and African memorabilia and wines.“We are one step closer to getting our area enclosed, so everyone can have a safe place to live. We’re looking forward to having market days in the future,” she said.According to the committee, the process to turn the area into a gated community was initiated a few years ago but only received final approval from City Planning on March 8.
