“Volunteering and developing the relationships with the clients was the experience of a lifetime for these kids,” Tina Voulgaris, executive director of Global Brigades, told me in an interview. “They got to see a side of Greece one may never discover, explore neighborhoods you would never go to, discover the small shops and the stories of these people and make an impact on a very deep level.
