Canadian travel agencies are quietly resuming tourism promotions in China, even as Ottawa maintains a travel advisory for that country in the wake of recent bilateral tensions.
Luo says he is pleased that government agencies such as Destination Canada and other provincial organizations have resumed promoting Canada as a vacation destination. “For this summer, we haven’t heard a lot from Chinese operators,” he said. “We are trying to contact them, but we just haven’t heard back from them.”
