Gov. Udom stated that upon completion the business tower will serve all IOCs and other allied companies in the oil and gas sector and called on federal government to implement the policy that will ensure that all multinational companies have functional administrative headquarters within their areas of operations, saying states that bear the brunt of environmental degradation from mineral by IOCs are entitled to receive revenues.
He disclosed that the building will be fitted with latest communication and logistical technologies to suit all needs of international business community expected to occupy it, adding “with this edifice, the state government would have removed all excuses over lack of basic infrastructure for IOCs to establish their administrative headquarters in Uyo”.
