The Senate Finance Committee is holding a hearing to consider former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley to be the new Social Security administrator.
The hearing is slated to begin at 10 a.m. Biden announced his intention to nominate O'Malley for the position on July 26, arguing that the former governor would defend Social Security."Governor O’Malley is a lifelong public servant who has spent his career making government more accessible and transparent, while keeping the American people at the heart of his work," Biden said in a statement.
