BP PLC BP, -2.13%, a major oil & natural gas companies company, and pharmaceuticals business Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC HIK, -2.05% rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks shed 2.13% and 2.05%, respectively. Shares of residential building construction firm Persimmon PLC PSN, +5.92% and food retail company Ocado Group PLC OCDO, +3.81% climbed 5.92% and 3.81%, respectively.
The pound was down 0.39% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.43% at $1.2294 and 0.10% against the euro GBPEUR, -0.12% at €1.1505.
