High-profile events and awards shows have been cancelled at the Dorchester in London in protest at the decision of Brunei, the hotel’s ultimate owner, to make gay sex and adultery punishable by stoning to death.
Islamic gay sex law. A law that exists all over the islamic world with varying degrees of punishment.
Supportive of this, although don’t think it will do much. I’m not sure if this is contradictory, but there’s surely a special place in hell for those who justify violence and barbaric persecution in the name of religion.
Is bsd the best way?
Sorry Dorchester, we know it’s a lovely hotel with friendly staff but this association is intolerable, will not come back Dorchester bruneiboycott
Hang on. They are practicing their faith. What about multiculturalism?
Other hotels could endorse the boycott by offering jobs to Dorchester staff who want to leave.
The Hypocrisy of it all is nuaseating. These middle Eastern countries have being abusing human rights for ages, they are nothing short of barbaric societies. Y'all were more than happy to take their 💰, but the moment they touch the Gay community, you've decided to wake up?

Let's hope this continues when the news cycle has moved on. Normally it doesn't unfortunately.
Good. It's bloody barbaric.
The EHRC has had a corporate governance equality initiative for some time. While belated it's nice to see UK big business knowing equality is good for business and taking a position.
A lot more needs to be done.. He's frequently invited to Royal family events, last one being Meghan & Harry's wedding, which incidentally included George Clooney on the guest list! hypocrisy
Yeah, but... there are over 70 countries out there that penalise LGBT people to varying degrees. Brunei's just the latest.
yes their employees will be over the moon with travel lodge
Rightly so. There are other hotels and businesses under the control of Brunei and they have no place in our society.
Good. Let's see more of this.
And so they should.
