The collision happened on the N1 north between Grasmere toll plaza and the N12.
The N1 freeway, south of Johannesburg has been re-opened for traffic following in multi-vehicle collision on Sunday morning. Four people were killed and 23 others injured after a truck collided with a minibus taxi causing a pile up involving a bus and ten other vehicles. Heavy mist reduced road visibility significantly at the time of the collision around 7 this morning. The cause of the crash has still to be investigated.
