OTTAWA — The federal government has postponed a long-awaited update to Canada’s corporate-misconduct provisions, including changes that could help SNC-Lavalin avoid being barred from lucrative federal contracts.
There has been considerable public discussion around corporate wrongdoing, as well as governments' responses to such misconduct However, SNC-Lavalin could still see a shorter suspension from federal contracts — or perhaps none at all — if the proposed update to the integrity regime comes into force. As a result, the government of Canada is taking additional time to assess possible next steps regarding the Integrity Regime
Last fall, the proposal went through another round of public consultations with the aim of making additional tweaks before coming into force.
I do believe there’s a Blue Wave about to swamp you Truedope!
Wow I guess we know liberals aren't fast learners this company needs to be banned from public bids but ok liberals hide your intentions till Oct. But hopefully u wont be allowed to continue to support companies who openly break the laws , lie and bribe
Trying to save a Quebec company for political reasons is very wrong
Don't know how long it will last? I've got a clue. After the election. To cover up again and again and again.
They will announce it just after the house rises and on a late Friday afternoon.
Weren't they going to court and a judge....?
