Four children, aged three, five, six and eight, were thrown from the jumping castle when a strong gust of wind caused it to become airborne.A three-year-old girl, a five-year-old boy and a six-year-old boy were taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead with non-life-threatening injuries.
A fourth child, an eight-year-old girl, was treated at the scene but did not require hospitalisation."We would like to give our sincere apologies to the family whose children were involved in today’s [jumping] castle accident," they said. On Sunday afternoon a spokeswoman for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead said the two boys had been discharged, but the three-year-old girl was still in hospital in a stable condition.
